Introduction about Digital Media

Introduction About Me:

     Hello all! My name is Kyleigh Way! I am a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. I am a dual major in Communications and Multimedia and Digital Culture (MMDC) and I am a minor in Marketing as well. 


     A little bit about me. I am a HUGE music lover. I love the genres of hard rock, pop punk, metalcore, heavy metal, pop, etc., but I am mostly a HUGE 2000's music fan. My coworkers at Hot Topic used to say I am like a "dad" because I love "dad rock". Anyway, I will give a small list of my favorite bands/artists. My favorite bands are Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Waterparks, Motionless in White, Ghost, Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, etc. I also go to a lot of concerts whenever I can. The most recent one I went to was to see Waterparks and I actually met them as well. I have also been to a festival called Van Warped Tour. I have been to the 2015 and 2016 one. It was an awesome experience!

      I also run a fanpage on Instagram called take.awsten.to.the.moon and it is a Waterparks fanpage, so I can get my practice on social media and see what my target audience is. I try to post regularly, but with school starting up it is difficult and I also want to try and make more edits on this account because I feel like that is what gets you more followers and more people to view your content. 






     I am very excited to start this class called Writing for Digital Media. I will update about it more in the next blog post or posts on whatever I decide. So, stay tuned!
